Bantam B2s Win The St. Cloud Title In Dramatic Style!

The Bantam B2's, coached by Chris Morem and Jeff Olson, won the St. Cloud Bantam B2 tournament this weekend.  They beat Duluth East in the opener 3-0, then Crow Wing 3-2 in overtime (Peter Hacker tied it 2-2 with one minute left in regulation then Jack Riester scored the OT winner), and finally Eden Prairie 2-1.  Austin Bosely and Anthony Jordan had the goals.....Jordan scored the game winner with 37 seconds left in regulation on a power play.........Austin Andrle had two assists.  Tony Chapple and Jack Larson were rock solid on defense and TJ Mosley was spectacular in net in all three games. Great fun for our Bantam B2 team.
 

Other contributors to the successful weekend include Danny Murray, Sean Gordan, Tanner Ahlborn, Keegan Johnson, Colin O'Neill,  Charlie Welter, and Austin Lankford.

Peewee C Purple Wins Minneapolis Cup!

The Minneapolis-Park Peewee C Purple team had great success at the Minneapolis Cup Tournament at St. Louis Park this weekend!  The team prevailed over Highland Central, Wayzata and Coon Rapids to win the Peewee C Level Championship. The team also won the Shark Relay at that level and enjoyed a case of Gatorade on Saturday. Congratulations to the players and coaches!

Squirt B2s Take Third in Minneapolis Cup Tourney

The Storm Squirt B2s had a great Thanksgiving weekend by taking third place in the Minneapolis Cup Tournament. Good playing boys!

Squirt As Take First Place In Hutchinson!

The Storm Squirt A Team is off to a GREAT start this Season.

After defeating Edina 5-3 in Scrimmage action earlier this Month, The Squirt A's were looking forward to their next test at the Hutchinson Tournament.  The team played outstanding throughout and advanced to the Championship game against Hastings.  Hastings proved to be the toughest test to date but, the STORM prevailed winning 4-3 in a close game.

First Ever STORM U10A Girls Team Wins First Ever U10A Game!

Congratulations to the first-ever U10A Storm team for posting a win in their first game ever! Led by a hat-trick from center Ivy Forbes-Miel, the team defeated a tough Mounds View team 6-4 Thursday night in the Blaine All-American tournament. Julia Shepard, Mary-Kate Eiden and Emma O’Brien also added goals, while assists came from Forbes-Miel, Shepard, Maddie Etienne, Kira Smallman, and Maddie McGuire. Special hustle all game came from Georgia Christman and Elena Extrand.

In the defensive zone, Sydney Dynneson, Natalie Omodt, Emma O’Brien and Katherine Wohletz fought off several Mounds View flurries. Goalie Halley Fine backstopped the team with solid goaltending, turning away shots of all shapes and sizes to preserve the victory in the fast-paced final minutes.

Way to go, girls! You are helping to build a great Storm girl tradition!

STORM Teams Win District Championships

For the first time ever, the Storm had four teams playing in District Championship games and three of those teams prevailed on Friday night.

The Bantam A's won the D1 Championship with a heated battle with Johnson, 3-2.

The Bantam B1's had an easier evening, beating Washburn 5-0.

The Peewee A's found themselves in a scoring festival. Early in the third period they were winning 7-5. Final score will be updated when received.

All three of these teams now take the #1 seed from District 1 in the upcoming Minnesota Hockey State Regional tournaments.
